A Patent Attorney Can Protect Your Business Ideas

The excerpt below is from a series of articles on patent application process ...

An inventor needs a patent, composers and writers needs a copyright and a company needs a trademark. This is basically what a patent attorney does - provide intellectual property owners with their legal needs.

Patent attorneys are licensed to assist as inventors’ representatives throughout the patent's approval process. Patent attorneys create patent applications and help the inventor while a patent is pending approval.

Most patent attorneys have an adequate understanding of technology, engineering and science and will have passed an examination supervised by the PTO (Patent and Trademark Office), which rates an attorney’s knowledge of patent law. Patent attorneys should also have a law degree and be able to advocate help the patent holder's rights in any legal and official proceedings, such as infringements of their intellectual property.

Patent attorneys are adept in preparing and filing a patent application via the USPTO (U.S. Patent and Trademark Office). This sector normally considers patent agents as good as patent lawyers, as long as they are officially registered.

Since the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit is an ordinary legitimate forum used to report patent infringement, patent attorneys may also select to impose copyright, trademark, or patent laws in a federal court or state. A plaintiff may accept restrictive relief or financial damages from an individual who made use of a copyright, trademark, or patent in an illegal fashion, by going to any court aside from the Court of Appeals.

There are several resources available to help you search for the right patent agent or attorney, such as trade associations, the Internet, as well as district legal organizations. However, a great starting point for any patent research is the USPTO website. The web site makes available a master list of attorneys and agents licensed to carry out their practices before the office.

More so, a patent attorney should of course have a law background and shall be acknowledged to the bar in single or more legal authorities. Currently, the U.S. has a dual system for patent attorneys and agents. There are roughly 22,600 active patent lawyers and 7,200 active agents registered to exercise legal professions before the USPTO office, thus inventors have a wide range of both kinds of patent practitioners to choose from. One of the main things that an inventor should remember when choosing either a patent attorney or patent agent is to pick one with enough experience in the area of inventions. As a general rule, a patent attorney will normally charge more for their services than a patent agent, due to the attorney’s broader educational background in the field.

Someone with experience in the field of inventions will generally be more competent and able to create a more effective patent application. There are various ways to select a patent attorney. One way is to source referrals from individuals who do business with inventors and other inventors themselves. Another helpful method in searching for a patent attorney is to browse the database of registered practitioners created by the USPTO. Ideally, it is recommended that you begin your search in your local area, as you will probably want to meet personally with a potential patent attorney after your initial telephone calls ...

The Wealthy Affiliates under the Microscope

It wasn't too long after I began my journey that I came across Wealthy Affiliate. I had been struggling for a few weeks and had nearly given up. Wealthy Affiliates changed all that and for that, I am very grateful.

The personal coaching offered by the WA's, Kyle and Carson, is fantastic. I've had both of the guys login to my adwords account to see exactly where I was going wrong.

I found their feedback was exactly what I needed to get on track with adwords. After a shortwhile, I began making regular sales here and there. I received my first Clickbank cheque and I started to believe that it was all possible.

It did take me a little while to get off the ground, but once I got going, there was no stopping me. It was all uphill from that point on. If only I had found this stuff earlier...

The forum is really great too. Theres a handful of guys in there that really know their stuff. It's worth just being a member for this forum.

Fast forward a year or so and I'm making daily, what I used to make in an entire week. Click on any of the links above to check out my Wealthy Affiliate review. It might just make you a whole wad of cold hard cash.

Business Tips - Improve Your Business By Providing Great Customer Service

The excerpt below is from a series of articles on customer service ...

Online or off, good customer service is essential if you hope to maintain good business relationships. In order to maintain good relationships, you must be able to look at the customer as your main income stream and you also need to look at them as an acquaintance you look forward to seeing each and every time you see them.

Good customer service is essential for all business owners. If you aren't providing your customers with good service, then usually your competitors will gladly take care of the job for you. Good customer service training is essential for all of your employees. The world's best businesses offer some of the best customer service training programs which can be very costly but they do it because they realize in order to have clients, they must take care of them so they are willing to put extra money into customer service training employees in the area of pleasing customers or providing customer satisfaction to the best of their abilities.

Cingular Wireless customer service is one of the best examples of exceptional customer service. The employees of Cingular are put through extensive business training programs and taught to handle the customer to the best of their ability. If they aren't able to handle customers to the customer's satisfaction, then representatives know they risk the customer taking their business somewhere else and in that case, their jobs aren't safe. If more companies drove that point home, then more companies would be more customer-driven just like Cingular Wireless and its competitor, Verizon ...

Buy Inbound Text Links from Linx Hunter (coming soon)

I think I have stumbled across a new simple way to buy permanent one-way links to your website. The link building service which has yet to be launched is called LinXhunter.com and it sounds a lot more flexible and possibly a lot more powerful that other methods of buying Relevant One Way Links to your website.

Increasing the number of One Way Links to your website is a well known way of increasing your search engine rankings, but what I especially like about LinXhunter.com is its additional focus on traditional advertising values.

By this I mean actually being able to get people that click through to your website, having your One Way Links on an authoritative site (not just some spam site) and also having the One Way Links on pages that are relevant to your own site.

While it doesn't sound as sophisticated as something like Google Adsense it does seem like an interesting way to promote your site, especially given that One Way Links will inadvertently help you improve your search engine rankings. At least this is what I'm gathering from the introductory info on the LinXhunter.com website.

LinXhunter will be utilizing bloggers to publish these links and promises an additional revenue stream from undiscovered real estate. I've signed up to the LinXhunter.com mailing list as I'm eager to hear more about the One Way Links and the opportunities for bloggers. Hopefully this will live up to what I'm hoping for – a cheap way to get One Way Links and hopefully a nice way to earn a bit of extra cash on my blog.

Don't buy 101-website-traffic.com

101-website-traffic.com is a site that is doing pretty well on clickbank, and when I first started out with internet marketing this was one of the first membership sites I bought my way into. Not knowing anything on how to get traffic and making money online, I couldn’t resist the promising word that gets yield out to you…

But stay away! This site or membership if you would like to call it is nothing but useless links to other products and promotional methods that you can find for free everywhere else on net. The site also starts out saying that you can email 75 million prospects each months… lol, you got to be stupid to believe that this is possible without a great deal of spamming. You are also promised 50000 guaranteed visitors to your website every month which is just crap, together with a lot of ways to promote your site using submitters that mainly do not work at all I find this site to be a huge waste of time.

There is no easy way to get qualified visitors to you website without a little bit of work, and if you are a beginner I urge you to start learning rather than jumping into membership site like this, they only eats up your well earned cash. Find a good ebook or a membership site that is well known for delivering quality content.

The Key To An Efficent and Productive Workplace? Your Office Furniture!

Think about the people you will be having in and out of your office. Are they people you need to impress, possibly even intimidate a little? If this is the case, think about executive office furniture. With executive office furniture, you are going to be dealing with furniture that is meant to create a sense of power and prestige. While executive office furniture is definitely somewhat luxurious, it still conveys a certain toughness and single-mindedness; you’ll see plenty of simple wooden designs here and not a lot in the way of decoration.

If you’re dealing with technicians, all they usually want is a place where they can sit and do their coding. To this end, look into office computer furniture. This furniture is meant to highlight what is the important part of the desk (besides the worker of course!) and that’s the computer. Good office computer furniture will have everything within easy reach and provide plenty of space to house the computer, possibly using a hutch to support everything. If you work from home, good office computer furniture usually converts into good home office furniture as well!

Remember to think about what your company or work philosophy is. Are you and your company more casual and fun, or is extreme traditionalism and rock-steady policy the rule of the day? What impression do you want the people who will be using the furniture to get from you? When you have the general shape of an answer in your head, it’s time to take a look around and start searching for your perfect office set!

Think about what the needs that your work area needs to fill and don’t just go for the cheapest option! If you have a lot of paperwork to do, receipts to categorize or otherwise have to worry about loose ends and pieces, consider getting a desk with a lot of drawers for storage capabilities.

Why A Franchise Business Opportunity Is So Valuable To Entrepreneurial Minds

The excerpt below is from a series of articles on entrepreneurship ...

How do you get to be an entrepreneur? Well, you'll need to go deep into yourself and make a decision to take a risk. What you need to do is start your own business and strive to be the best at it.

If you think about it, you will realize that Bill Gates had to start somewhere, didn't he? You need to start somewhere too. Most entrepreneurs open up small sized businesses. These businesses often cater to their immediate community. However, these types of businesses rarely become big. In fact, most businesses like these often die out with their owner.

Another disadvantage with businesses like this is the fact that the risk factor of failure is much greater. By starting your own business, you will have to establish a name and reputation, something that isn't really done easily or quickly.

So, most entrepreneurial minds turn to franchising opportunities in order to get their business going. Franchise opportunities help entrepreneurs by providing them with the name, branding and reputation associated with a big corporation. Franchise business opportunities help entrepreneurs get started in the world of business.

Inexperience is often the downfall of entrepreneurs. Most do not realize the complexities of running your own show. Franchising opportunities help entrepreneurs by giving them direction on how to do business their way. This means that you will be able to get tips straight from those who have already made it work.

Franchise opportunities to entrepreneurs are keys that can help them penetrate a market ruled by big names. You see, these big names have established themselves long ago and trying to compete with them would be next to impossible.

Here's a story of how a franchise opportunity transformed one man's dreams. If you watch discovery channel, you'll probably have encountered this name: Tony Tan …

Packet8's Broadband Telephone Service

The future of stand alone VoIP was brought to everyone's attention last month, when the number 2 stand alone internet telephone company in the nation, SunRocket, went bankrupt and closed their doors forever. While there were signs that SunRocket was in financial trouble when they laid off workers the previous month, it came as quite a shock to most of the telecommunications industry.

The big question is, "Will Vonage be next"? Vonage is still losing money like crazy, which has caused the price of their stock to plummet. And, since their cost of customer acquisition is still more than they make off of a customer in a year, it stands to reason that they aren't going to make it either. If Vonage doesn't make it, thousands of investors are going to get hurt financially, just like they did when Enron went under.

The only bright spot right now in the stand alone internet telephone market, is Packet8. Packet8 actually posted a profit last quarter, making it the first stand alone internet telephone company to

do so. It looks like they did it by concentrating on business customers and value added product upgrades. By going after business internet telephone customers, who usually pay at least

twice what residential VoIP users do, they lowered their cost of customer accusation to the point where they can now make money.

While the large cable and telephone companies are easily making money adding VoIP to their lineup of other services, small internet telephone companies are going to need to follow

Packet8's lead and find a niche where they can add enough value to their internet telephone services to create a viable long term business. I hope most of the stand alone VoIP's, like

Vonage, make it, if not for their investors, at least to keep the cable and telecom companies on their toes by keeping the market competitive.

Should you learn Spanish for business?

Speaking English as a first language is great. It doesn't matter where you are in the world, chances are someone will speak at least a little English.

As someone who has travelled just about ever corner of the globe, I know this to be true. There is a downside to this, however. Yes, being an English speaker is not without it's pitfalls, as you will soon learn.

The downside is that it makes us lazy. Why learn another language when we don't really need to? Well, that's a good question and the truth is there are lots of reasons to learn Spanish, if only for business purposes.

Since this is a short article, I don't have the time to go into all the reasons, but I've tried to condense it as best as I could. To learn how to speak Spanish for your business, click on any of the highlighted links.

If you live in the United States, then I'm sure you're already aware of the ever increasing Hispanic population. While many of these people speak English well, many don't. Which often means if you cannot speak Spanish to them, you will be losing business. If that's not a good reason to learn Spanish, I don't know what is.

Speaking the language of the locals will also endear you to the population, which means that return business will also increase.

Perhaps learning Spanish does not have to be a task for yourself, but if you are in an area that has a high proportion of Spanish speakers, then at least some of your staff should be able to converse in Spanish.

Ingredients of a Successful Website

By definition, a successful website is one that does what you want it to. The questions is, do you know what you want your website to do for you?

It's surprising how many people have a website which doesn't have a clear purpose. Many company websites for instance, are nothing more than a glorified brochure, which is fine if that's all it needs to be, but that's not often the case.

Websites should be designed so that a visitor is encouraged to perform a specific action, whatever that may be. Do you want your visitors to request more information, sign up for your newsletter or purchase an eBook? Whatever it is, the whole website should be designed so that everything point your visitor towards that one goal, leads them to perform that single desired action. If you have that, you're half way to having a successful website.

The other half of a successful website is having visitors. But not any old visitor. You only want the right kind of visitor. The wrong kind won't ever take desired action, and you want to get rid of them as soon as possible, or ideally prevent them arriving in the first place.

Only when you have a clear goal for your website, will you be able to identify the right kind of visitor. Without knowing why you want people to come to your website, you can't possibly know what kind of person you want to come to your website. Once you understand both, you'll be in a position to design and create a promotion plan that will be appropriate and effective.

The Art of Niche Marketing

If you want to know what is niche marketing, look at a simple example. You don't need marketing case studies, you only need to look around you. Look, for example, at high schoolers. In a certain geographic location, they will all look much like each other. They will all fit into one of a couple or three different groups, defined by the music they listen to, the fashion styles they wear, and the books they read.

So what is niche marketing? Niche marketing is what determines adolescent identity. All of them buy into a certain manufactured image of what they are supposed to be. It might be rebellion through music, it might be showing off their success through fancy jewelry and hip-hop clothing, or it might be a preppy look that shows that they are bound for bigger and better things. Whatever it is, niche marketing did it. These images were sold to them by big companies, even though these teenagers think that they are expressing themselves.

Of course, understanding what is niche marketing is important to your average consumer, but it is crucial to businesses. We live in such an individualistic society that no business can hope to market to everyone. This is why businesses have different brand names for different products. If they did not know what is niche marketing, each would try to be the biggest and the best. Instead of marketing to a specific subgroup, they would try to market to everyone. Companies that do this make no one happy. None of their consumers will be very loyal, and they will leave at the first sign of something better coming around. Understanding what is niche marketing is the only way to keep your customers on the scene.

Dragon Software Is Perfect For Article Writing

I have used Dragon for a couple of years and I would recommend it to all types users not just article marketers like myself. Anybody can benefit from it’s capabilities. I told my niece about it who is at college and she now uses it for writing her projects and term work and says it has improved her production one hundred per cent. The thing that surprises me is that the company who makes Dragon is not advertising it more actively on TV and other media as I think it is an amazing product.

Maybe they sell enough units on word of mouth alone, I imagine most people who use it would recommend it to others. Maybe it is due to the fact that the majority of computer users are more interested in hardware and the latest innovations in that field, rather than the latest software, so dragon’s creators do not think it would be worth the huge cost of an advertising campaign.

As far as support goes, the product help is second to none. I have only had one real problem since I started using the software and received a reply in less than an hour to an email I sent them. The problem was user error nothing to do with the software. Support can also be reached by phone though I have always preferred using email rather than the phone unless I do not get a problem resolved. There are also regular updates and upgrades which they keep you notified of.

Setting up your own website

You’ll also want to have a separate landing and sales page for everything you sell. Make sure those pages are as relevant as possible, because that will give you a higher Google listing.

When you go to mark ling, there are some important considerations. You want to attract the user’s eyes to the most important info. So where do people look?

One of the biggest questions for website designers is, “Where are the user’s eyes looking?” Where do your eyes go when you read articles on the Web? What do you notice and what do you miss?

Well, I’ve got some answers for you, because this topic has been studied. It turns out that the upper left quarter of the screen gets the most attention, according to the Eyetrack III research of The Poynter Institute, the Estlow Center for affilorama review & New Media, and Eyetools. But that’s not all. There’s more to it than that.
People’s eyes have some very common behavior patterns. It probably has to do with our hunter-gatherer ancestry.

First, we do a wealthy affiliate - or “recon” as the military calls it. Users’ eyes flick over the entire screen at whatever draws their attention. And what draws it most? Well, the first hot spots are headlines, photo captions, subheadings, links, menu items and the logo on the page. It doesn’t matter if it’s a good logo or a bad one, people look at logos.

How To Boost Your Home Business Productivity

Working an online business from home is a dream many people are currently turning to. In theory, working from home is the ideal scenario for most, however, in many ways, it can be one of the toughest things to achieve successfully.

Why?

Lack of discipline and focus plus procrastination are the enemies for a lot of home business owners.

For starters, as opposed to working a job, people aren't under the watchful eye of a supervisor and the only person they are accountable too are themselves.

How To Overcome Lack Of Discipline

Lets take a look at some of the time management strategies you can apply to your home business to overcome focus and discipline issues:

- One of the ways to overcome this barrier, and believe me it is a huge barrier for many, is to apply time management principles to your business.

- Another method is to tackle the most difficult tasks first. This is a great strategy first up in your day because it is when you are fresh and clear of mind.

- Establishing set working hours is another excellent way of achieving good results working from home. By this, I'd suggest you set a work time schedule, whether it be from 9 to 3, 8 to 4 or whatever you deem appropriate. Stick rigidly to this schedule.

- Appointing a mentor is strongly suggested if you don't think you have the discipline and focus to work productively on your own.

Business Investing

To Provide Business Capital : Business investment is risky business. Unless you really know what you are doing, you should not make a business investment. It is true that some entrepreneurs make millions of dollars by investing in business, but they are the exception and not the rule. They are hugely rich financial geniuses with more money than you could possibly imagine at their fingertips. For people like you and me – the ordinary folks – business investment is supposed to be too risky of a proposition.

Investing in a business was definitely an adventure for me. By the time I was finally ready to begin to put money into a business, I had studied everything that I could about economics. I did not want to make the same mistakes that I made early on. I decided that I would not start investing in a business until I really was ready. I did not want to waste my money anymore. I was through with that. I was too old to throw away money investing in a business that would not succeed. It turns out that I made a pretty good decision on business investments. I gave a thousand dollars to an Internet startup, and watched it grow tenfold. Soon, I was making money left and right investing in a business. Once I learned how it was done, it was easy for me.

Website Marketing Strategy

Choosing an effective website marketing strategy is imperative to have a successful business on the internet today. One of the most important strategies is link building.

The first thing to do is to submit your site to directories. But forget about submitting it to Google - let the googlebot find your site by itself. The Yahoo directory has a yearly fee of $299. You’ll get listed within 7 days. A link from the Yahoo Directory carries a lot of weight with the search engines. But if it carries too much weight for your pocketbook right now, there are plenty of free directories you can submit to.

Another part of your online marketing strategy to get incoming links to your site is by writing articles and submitting them to article directories. write as many articles as you want. Just be sure they have unique content from any other article. It’s best practices to write several versions of the same article to submit to different article directories. This way you won’t have as big an issue with duplicate content that you would if you submitted the exact same article to 20 different directories.

Exchanging links with other websites will also give you incoming links. These links will carry more weight if they come from sites that are similar to yours. So if you have a site about dogs, don’t go for link exchanges with a golf site.

These are the first steps to getting started with your website marketing strategy. Add links slowly and add them every day. You’ll be reaping the rewards in no time.

Can You Make Your Great Idea Into A Business?

Everyone has ideas. Some good, some bad, but everyone has ideas. The key to turning that basic idea into a business begins and ends with a plan. In the excitement of coming up with a plan, most web entrepreneurs get so excited about the possibilities, they overlook whether or not the idea is even viable.

While some ideas do take off without planning, more often then not, an idea without a plan, especially without market research, will fail. This failure will leave your company with less financial resources and potentially credibility issues. Keep your business on the right track by having a plan.

The easy part of course is to imagine the possibilities. This best case scenario dreaming overlooks the very real constraints of financial resources (how much will it cost?), demographic (is there a market for it - and is this what they need at this stage of their life) and material resources (does the technology exist?).

Passion is important in small businesses. Passion without objectivity can be dangerous. Without a focused plan, you will spend time on untargeted areas, wasting dollars as you backtrack to ensure that all the little fires are put out. Just as you build a house brick by brick, your business plan needs to be built, brick by brick, step by step.

So what is involved in your market research? Have you looked into industry associations to see what information they can provide for you? What government agencies can assist you find out where others have failed, and where your idea might provide the solution. Do you know your market? Who is your customer? What stage of life are they at? Are you looking to sell to a younger couple? If they are having children right now, they may not have money for your product, unless it helps them to raise their kids. Are they retired? How much money do they have to spend. Does your idea answer a need or a want? Consumers spend money on what they deem they need. Sometimes, with some clever marketing, a want can turn into a need.

Have you asked industry experts about the pros and cons of your approach? If they provide you reasons why your idea wont work, it may be an opportunity to ensure your plan is foolproof by finding the solution that that problem.

Have you checked out the competition? What are they doing that you are not? What can you provide that they don't?

The best way of ensuring your idea can be turned into a viable business is by trying to come up with reasons why it wont work. Make a list. Then find the solutions to those problems. Once you have completed your market research and you no longer have any problems associated with it, you might just have a winning idea!

Questions & Answerers About Online Paid Survey

Paid surveys are nothing new. However if you have ever wanted to know exactly how paid surveys work, then you should read on. Here is a brief paid survey question and answer list that should help gain better understand about online paid surveys.

What is exactly is a survey?

A survey is tool that is used by market research companies to gather information from consumers about specific products or services. This is a pretty good description if you want to get an idea about what you should expect from online paid surveys. A survey consists of a number of questions that are aimed at investigating a specific topic. For example, a product satisfaction survey would consist of several questions that are designed to get your opinion about several different characteristics of a certain product. They would ask questions like: did you find the product useful, is it to expensive, or was it is reasonably priced, how often do you purchase this product, etc.

Who needs surveys?

Surveys are typical used by market research companies as tools. Surveys are a great way for market research companies to gather and filter consumer information that helps them refine their marketing strategies.

So why do marketing companies pay consumers for their opinions?

Well, while most people would be more than happy to complete surveys for free there are a lot of people that wouldn't bother to take them or they would give cheeky answers their questions. Paid surveys give consumers the opportunity to earn some extra money, and when there is money involved people tend to take the surveys more seriously. The expense is reasonable for the marketing company that is conducting survey – the data that is gained from the surveys can help save them a fortune on ineffective marketing campaigns.

So how do I start receiving online paid surveys?

In-order to start receiving surveys you will need to join some online paid survey programs. Soon after your registration, the survey companies will start sending you surveys to take. The frequency of these surveys will depend on your profile and the survey company that you register with. This is why it is a good idea to sign up with more than one online survey company.

How much will I earning taking surveys?

Each paid survey that you take is going to net you different amount of money. Some surveys will pay you only $3 while others will pay you $50 or more. The total amount of money that you make will be determined by the kind of surveys you will be completing and the amount of money that each survey pays. The amount of surveys that you receive cannot be predicted so you will need to join as many survey companies as possible, and try not to depend on the income that is generated taking surveys.

So how will I get paid?

Every survey site will have a different payment method. The most popular payment options are: cheque payments, Pal Pay payments, and credit card payments. Make sure that you know how you will be receiving the money for the paid surveys that you have completed beforehand.

So what do I need to watch out for?

As with any other online stuff, you need to be very careful when you are selecting the survey sites you would like to join. Even though there are a lot of legitimate survey sites, there is also a lot of fraudulent ones. Read the contract agreement carefully, and make sure that you completely understand what they are offering you. Make sure that the survey company you are joining, actually is a real business. A legitimate company will have all of their contact details clearly disclosed and you will be able to speak to a representative if needed. Testimonials from previous customers are definitely a good thing, recommendations for this site in the press or other respectable media are just as good!

Promoting your Business using an Ezine

As the owner of a small online business, you're always looking for new approaches to promotion. Here's a great way to promote your site, increase your customer base and sales and profit from advertising promotions all in one go. How? Get started with some regular communication and publish your own electronic newsletter or ezine.

If you can write a letter, then you can write your own newsletter. You know your product better than anyone and even if writing isn't your thing, there are ways to get content written for you. How about offering the opportunity to a journalism student at your local university or simply outsource it for a very modest fee. Students are always on the lookout for ways to generate additional income.

Some tips to ezine writing success:

Establish a schedule for publication and stick to it not only for self discipline but mainly because your readers will be looking out for it. Once a month is sufficient for most small businesses but be prepared to test what frequency works best.

Provide useful content in each issue. Let's say you sell pre-owned books. Your content might focus on book reviews, regional news or local history (read local niche), markets, ways to use journals, or how to effectively use on-line resources to locate hard to get publications. Any of these topics could be a feature article, which is really just what you need in one issue.

In addition to creating your own content, you can use free content too. Free content can be obtained from article directories. Be careful though as there is great variation when it comes to the quality of free content.

How article directories work:

Subject matter experts and business owners submit articles to the various article directories in exchange for their byline being included with their article within what is commonly termed a resource box. It's free publicity for the author's website and helps drive traffic too.

Once you have suitable content, you can make a template from your first magazine and publish each issue in that format and thereby maintain a consistent look and feel.

There are many excellent free online tutorials and templates available so look around as these can be a real help. They provide detailed information on ezine writing conventions, such as the 65-character line limit, and the pros and cons of a HTML versus TEXT publication.

So what advantages does producing an ezine or newsletter for your business bring?:

You'll have regular contact with your customers. You'll remind them of you and your business without the need for a hard sell approach. They'll receive timely and useful information that they can relate to your products or services and you will have repeat opportunities to send them back to your site.

Once you build your readership into a sizeable list, you can solicit other newsletters for exchange advertising. The larger your subscriber list, the more attractive your publication becomes for paying advertisers. You may also have the opportunity to negotiate commissions on sales from their sites resulting from click-through's from your magazine.

Your subscribers can forward your magazine to friends who may in turn become subscribers. Why not include a statement up front, inviting your readers to pass your magazine onto others, but only in complete form. This ensures all recipients get the opportunity to subscribe and help grow your list.

Creating your own online magazine can be quite profitable. Yes it takes work and dedication, but properly done the results are well worth it.

An Honest WhyPark.com Review - Should I Park My Domain Names With WhyPark.com ?

Here's an honest user review of WhyPark.com as a way to make extra dollars from your unused domain names ...

Domain name parking is where a company offers you some form of revenue-sharing for pointing your domain name to a page in their servers that displays sponsored adverts. When people click on the ads, you get a percentage of the revenue earned from the click.

There are many companies that offer domain name parking. Good programs, such as Sedo.com offer excellent domain name management functions, attractive web page templates and great reporting functions, as well as other services, such as domain name brokering. You really have to shop around, however, because some programs will actually charge you a monthly fee for the privilege of giving them a nice cut of your profits. I recommend you stay away from any services where you have to pay to park your domain.

After searching for a place to park my 200 domain names, I came across WhyPark. This company has a unique approach to domain name parking. The service provides you with content and a selection of web page templates (not just a page full of ads), and you then insert your own advertising code (e.g. AdSense) and keep 100% of the profits. One of the immediate benefits of this system, is that if you create a site with 100 pages of content, that's 100 pages of exposure for your ads, not just one or a few pages, like most other companies offer.

The system also allows you to create your own custom pages and offers you a way to promote products and affiliate programs related to the theme of your domain name. Best of all, these links are shown "above the fold" (i.e. the part of the page that visitors first see when they land on your site).

There are, however, a couple of downsides to this excellent service, which I'd like to discuss next ...

A Video Converter for iPods

A iPod video converter is necessary to get DVD's into a format that your video iPod can use. The formats supported by iPods are relatively few when compared to all the types available today.

The video iPod and new iPhone will play videos in the open standard format of MPG-4 or H.264. Anything you download from the iTunes Store will be in this format.

These types of files were chosen by Apple because they have good resolution and a reasonably sized file. This allows you to see a nice sharp picture without putting too much drain on your battery.

However, you may have DVD's or other movie files saved on your computer's hard drive that you'd like to watch on your iPod. A iPod video converter allows you to turn them into a movie compatible with your iPod.

If your plan is to watch the movie on the small screen, convert the file into a smaller resolution. That will help to conserve battery power. No need for hi-def. For H.264 files, use a 320x240 resolution at 768 kbps.

For MPEG-4 files, 480x480 resolution at 2.5mbps is fine. A standard iPod encoded video will be approximately 500MB for every hour of video.

The 6 Benefits Of Online Survey Jobs

You have no doubt heard and read of some of the horror stories surrounding paid survey jobs and it's understandable you might enter this field with a little trepidation.

Make no mistake, people have been burnt but you've also got to realize there are people earning some great extra income doing nothing more than providing their opinions on products and services and in many instances, being handsomely rewarded for their efforts.

Yes, their is the good and bad element in online survey jobs opportunities but with a little due diligence, you can avoid the pitfalls many others have succumbed to. This article is going to highlight some of the benefits of paid surveys.

Why Consider Online Survey Jobs

Convenience is an aspect of paid surveys which is very attractive to many prospective participants. Here are some of the benefits you could consider when looking at joining the survey industry:

1. The internet has lifted many restrictions with online survey jobs. Age and your location are no longer barriers. Ideal candidates include students looking to earn extra income, retired age people and stay-at-home moms.

2. The work is not taxing. In many cases a survey can take literally minutes to complete from the comfort of your own home.

3. Your home becomes your work space. You don't have to get ready at a specific time and join the early morning rush. You don't have to put up with work place politics unless you are a "sadist" and create your home.

4. You decide the hours you want to work and when you are experienced enough you get to decide how many surveys you want to take.

5. Earning extra income to pay off a monthly car or home loan payment or for any other reason. It gives stay-at-home moms the opportunity to become a little independent and create their own "little cash cows" without putting pressure or relying on the home's main income provider.

6. It's easy and it's fun. You get to do something you can enjoy because once established, you select which surveys you want to complete.

We've just highlighted the attractant factor of paid survey jobs. Is there a downside? Yes, there can be but as we mentioned earlier, look left, then right and then left again before attempting to "cross the survey" road and be prudent about your personal information and you shouldn't run into many problems at all.

How to write a Great Ad

So what can you do to get better CTR’s?
Most importantly, you need to discipline yourself to sit down and write new ads every week. This is taught in about affilorama.

For each ad group write a new ad every single week. Since it’s best to only change one variable at a time, you’ll want to keep the ad mostly the same but change the title. affilorama review shows you why this is important.
The new title should include your most popular keyword for that ad group. Later, you’ll test the second most popular keyword and so on. (I’ll tell you more about keywords and ad testing later).

Writing ads is a huge subject. Thousands of books have been written about writing the most effective ads, since these are the key to bringing you lots of MONEY!
The highest-paying piece of writing of all time was an ad letter written for the Wall Street Journal. It was 183 words long and brought in over a billion dollars in revenue. So, if you do the math, each word of that ad letter brought in $1.25 million. Kinda like the affilorama compared wealthy affiliate ad :)
Of course, I can’t guarantee your ads will do quite that well, but I can give you some tips on how to make a nice profit.

The biggest mistake people make is to start off by talking about features, and then at the very last mention the benefits. Features are great, but the whole time that customer reads your ad he or she is thinking: “What’s in this for me?” Don’t ever forget that.

Here’s an example of an ad written the way most people would write it, with features first and benefits last:
Wood bookcases in cherry, mahogany and oak. Three shelves, each holds 20 average-sized books. Good-looking furniture with nice hand-carved detail.

Now let’s lead with benefits and spin it so the customer can’t resist it:
Add an elegant look to your living room and store 60 books in these hand-tooled, beautiful bookcases. Choose cherry, mahogany or oak. Three shelves.
Notice the difference?
