Small Business Tips - About Getting Small Business Startup Grants For Your Business Idea

The following article is from a series of business articles, tips and information on small business start up grants ...

Small business start-up grants can help you achieve your goal of starting your own small business. Instead of getting a business loan for your needs, a small business startup grant is often a better option because you do not have to pay it back at anytime. Oftentimes, small business startup grants are even easier to get than a loan because many organizations specialize in helping small businesses get started. Although you have many options for funding your small business, a small business startup grant is often the most attractive option.

Small business start-up grants are a sensible way to fund your new enterprise because you do not have to repay the grant. In addition to this, the money you receive from a small business start-up grant is non-taxable. Also, when you apply for a small business start-up grant, you are not subject to a credit check and you do not have to provide collateral. Even though you have other options for funding your small business, a small business start-up grant is the most attractive option because it is free and clear of any type of repayments.

Every year, the federal government provides citizens with over $150 billion dollars in small business start-up grants. This includes a variety of government organizations that make sure that ordinary people who want to start their own business can get a small business start-up grant to encourage them. While the federal government alone offers almost 1,500 different programs to offer small business start-up grants, state governments provide an additional 24,000 programs. In addition, local governments account for over 150,000 programs that offer a variety of small business start-up grants to encourage people to start their own business.

In addition to just money provided by small business start-up grants, small business owners can also take advantage of many other government programs to help them run a growing company. Many organizations provide business owners with business counselling and training services to help you get your business running and to keep it from failing. You can also take advantage of programs that help you prepare an effective business plan in order to raise capital in the future. Many programs also provide education and advice for those who are just starting out in their new business.

If you dream of owning your very own small business, you can achieve your goal by acquiring a small business startup grant. Since grants are non-taxable and you do not have to pay them back, small business startup grants are less intimidating and less stressful than a traditional business loan. With the number of organizations and programs specifically designed to encourage small business owners begin a successful business, many people have been able to realize their financial goals.

Winning The Pay-Per-Click Game Just Became Easier!

We spoke several days ago about playing the PPC game and how difficult it has become to stay abreast of all the changes made in the last couple of years.

There was a time when pay-per-click was almost guaranteed of returning a profitable campaign no matter what product or service you were advertising. Not anymore. Is it still possible to make guaranteed profits from it? Well, yes but only if you do a little homework and only target specific keywords you know are working and returning profits.

Portal Feeder has released to it’s members in the past week a suite of PPC tools which would be the envy of any product creator concentrating on pay-per-click advertising. Having played with these over the past seven days, there is no question their value on the open market would run into hundreds of dollars. And on top of that, you could probably ask for a monthly membership fee to boot.

And then, on top of this, today Portal Feeder launched a PPC intelligence tool called PPC Kahuna. What is it? In a nutshell, you can literally spy on your competitors and see which keywords they’re using to profit from. Yes, I know 2007 has seen a number of similar products launched and which do exactly the same thing. They’re expensive and some require ongoing monthly fees running into hundreds of dollars a month.

Are they effective? Yes they are but my question is… what else do you receive other than being able to access one particular tool? What else does your monthly membership entitle you to that’s internet marketing related?

PPC Kahuna comes with the Portal Feeder 2.0 membership. Figure it out. You get it along with a full suite of the most advanced internet marketing and promotional tools, software and training for what is in relative terms, a meager monthly membership price. It’s the reason why Walmart has become so successful. One stop shopping in one place. Portal Feeder applies the same principles for it’s members. Whether it’s training, software or anything else internet marketing related, members have it all at their fingertips.

One of the main advantages of PPC Kahuna is not only does it find those profitable keywords which you can then use in your own campaigns, but from an SEO viewpoint, it’s invaluable. Imagine using a list of keywords you know others are profiting from.

Now what if you optimized your sites and blogs with those words; what if they became the foundation for your Web 2.0 promotions and what if you optimized your article marketing efforts around those very same keywords. Powerful stuff.

Traffic Travis Review

Do you do any marketing online? If so you have probably been bombarded with offers from all kinds of products with sales letters promising you everything from hundreds of dollars in earning almost only by reading their manual or turning on their software, but the reality is often far from what you read.

Of course sometimes the product lives up to the sales letter but that rarely the case, and if that really happens you know you got a winning product in front of, now it is time for you to start using it the way it is supposed to be used. To many people get taken by the well written sales pages, and almost forget that you always have to work the system, learn what is written in the book or use the tools properly for what are meant for.

I jumped on the wagon the other day buying new software I was told would be pretty good, it was called Traffic Travis and is supposed to be an all-in-one SEO software that would literally put money in my bank by using it. But I did not buy it because of that, I just needed a couple of the functions that was included in the software, so I went ahead and spent a couple dollars and put it through the test.

And if you want to know how it came out, go read my full Traffic Travis Review

Website Maintenance - How To Maintain A Profitable Website

Lack of website maintenance could be costing you a virtual "arm and a leg." To think you can set and forget in the internet marketing business is stuff dreams are made of.

Sure we'd like to think we can put up 20 websites and just leave them and then collect an income from them every week but the truth of the matter is, unless you nurture and tender your sites on a reasonably regular basis then you are going to lose popularity in the search engines.

Yes you get bombarded with self automation products which border on offering the "big red magic button" but let's be honest, how many of these do you purchase and what do you do with them? It's time for some website maintenance 101 the Portal Feeder way.

Satisfying The Search Engines

Google, Yahoo and MSN will provide the bulk of your traffic and of the three, Google leads the way. So keeping the "Google Gods" happy means keeping your websites updated.

Google loves to provide reliable, up-to-date information to it's searchers. By implementing an effective website maintenance plan, you can avoid the sudden drops in their index or worse still, disappearing completely.

The index page is usually your site's first point of entry for visitors. It's the first impression they get of your site. Letting your index page stagnate is usually like watching a puddle of water go from pristine to murky and your visitor will soon stop coming to your site. Update your index page at least once a week and you've probably got a reader for life.

Content Pages

Your site needs to be growing and adding fresh content pages to it at least twice a week will earn you plenty of brownie points in the eyes of the search engines. It keeps your information fresh and keeps the SE spiders coming back to your site.

Your money pages need attention to. Check your site regularly for broken links. 404 error pages are not good and will do your site harm from a credibility point-of-view. Portal Feeder recommends establishing a reliable website maintenance schedule and it should be part of your weekly routine.

Web Statistics : Why Bother?

Many people discount the role of online useage statistics in corporate marketing strategies, but the truth is that information about people's online habits and choices can make marketing certain products or services a lot less complicated. Online statistics can lead companies in the direction of a certain demographic that would enjoy and benefit from their products, for example.

Reading online statistics can be complicated, especially if there is no knowledge as to what the statistics mean. Many companies are now requiring their marketing teams to take online statistics classes to become better versed in statistics, learn to read data, and later create effective marketing strategies based on that information. As the world shifts more priority to the internet, an online statistics class becomes an important choice for those seeking solid business educations.

Online statistics can be obtained from the answers people provide in online surveys. Many companies offer compensation, making individuals more apt to fill out a paid review survey if the money is significant enough. The public can review a product with a paid review survey, which provides companies with incredibly valuable information and insight for potential improvement.

Many people love taking free online paid surveys. They can generate their opinions and collect cash or prizes, making the deal seem like a good one. Companies collect the data and pass it on to marketing companies, who use the online statistics generated from the surveys to create effective business plans. Everybody wins, as the public and the companies are both happy.

Companies are willing to pay big dollars for web statistics. That is why the online survey industry and the review industry flourishes. There is more to online statistics than many people think, and the days of leaving a comment card or calling a phone number for complaints are long gone.

Corporations tap into the continual stream of information the public provides them, using the online statistics survey takers generate, and companies have constant input from their consumer bases. This makes marketing plans more involved and compelled to get the product directly to the consumer. Online statistics are virtual lifelines, helping companies remain afloat, while understanding how people are buying and what they're buying, both online and offline.

Keyword Research and Private Label Lights

The general blunder committed by pretty well all novice online businessmen is coming up with a product without determining a sharp-set market. Why is this hazardous? Because the product might not cater to a especial demand. Without demand, no one would buy the said product, and such would surely be disadvantageous for any business.

It all starts with finding a niche. The sooner you discover one, the sooner you will realize the many promises that the online world can offer.

So the first thing you need to do is some niche research so you can find a market that you can profit from.

As soon as as you have found your niche, focus on it. If the subject is something you are not familiar with, keep researching. Next is to build a website that would provide accurate and educational information about the topic. Start using marketing strategies that works to get your site out in the search engine.

But how do you find the niche that will make you cash out the big bucks?

The key to online prominence lies in mastering the art of finding the right keywords.

When people search for something online they put in a word in the search bar, and that is know as a keyword, these are the words your need to be looking for when doing the niche research. If your website contains these exact keywords, in their proper density level, you'd have a fantastic chance of getting a good position in the search engine results pages (SERPs).

But this is only the beginning. Think of the right keywords as the Open Sesame! of the Internet. Find the exactly right words or phrases, and presto! Hoards of traffic will be pulling up to your front door. But if your keywords are too general or too over-used, the possibility of visitors actually making it all the way to your site - or of seeing any real profits from the visitors that do arrive - decreases dramatically.

Take advantage of some of the free keyword tools you can find online or go for a paid option.

The aim of evaluation is to narrow down your list to a small number of words and phrases that will direct the highest number of quality visitors to your website. By "quality visitors" I mean those consumers who are most likely to make a purchase rather than just cruise around your site and take off for greener pastures. In evaluating the effectiveness of keywords, bear in mind three elements: popularity, specificity, and motivation.

Popularity is the easiest to evaluate because it is an objective quality. The more popular your keyword is, the more likely the chances are that it will be typed into a search engine which will then bring up your URL.

The first step may seem obvious, but don't be fooled. If you've seen any products about ebook creation, no doubt that choosing a topic is not a new idea to you. But there is more to it than that.

To pick your topic, there are 2 main points to keep in mind:

1) Pick something you are familiar with or are willing to research. No matter how eager people are to buy a product, you cannot create one that contains any real value if you lack in depth information or inside knowledge about it. If you don't know, you can always research but keep in mind that will involve many additional hours.

2) Pick a topic that others are motivated to pay to learn more about. It's not enough that people are interested in your topic. I'm sure an ebook about the different uses of Lima beans would be an interesting read, but it's doubtful people will actually pull out their wallets to pay for it.

Now you know what to create a site about, you should search the internet for private label rights products to help you get started, there are hundreds of sites out there offering products either for or for a very small amount of money.
Also you can find 10 private label rights tips here

Pc Virus Software - Is It Essential

It can be easy enough not to worry about viruses until it is too late. After all, why would you worry? Your computer is working fine. You browse the Internet all the time, but nothing bad has ever happened. On the surface of things, everything looks normal.

Un-beknown to you however the damage may have already been done and there could already be a virus on your computer deleteing or editing files in the backgrounf without your knowledge.

It is easy to download antivirus software, but it can be hard to figure out which is the right software to get. After all, there are thousands of Anti Virus Software downloads. All over the Internet, there is software for windows to help you protect from viruses. Some of it is freeware, some of it is in trial versions, and some of it is fully functional.

Mcafee virus protection if one of the most popular brands, but it is by no means the only one. Norton, Symantec, and many other companies offer anti virus download software. With all of these choices, how can you choose the right one?

There is no sure way to get the best anti virus software download, but there are a few simple steps that you can take to ensure that you don't get a bad one. One of the most important things is not to get freeware software to protect against viruses. A lot of freeware is good, and in general you can safely use it.

For anti virus software download, however, it can put you at a great risk. Not only are you not assured of getting the best programs, but a freeware antivirus software download can actually contain viruses.

This is what is known as a Trojan Horse virus. This type of Trojan horse pretends to be an anti virus software download, but in reality it infects your computer. This defeats the whole purpose of an antivirus program!

If you are willing to pay a little more money for an anti virus software download, you can get a lot more protection. Not only do some of the better antivirus programs come with warranties guaranteeing that they will be effective, but many of them have frequent updates as well.

This means that every time a new virus comes out, there will be a new anti virus software download to update your virus protection program. You will be kept up to date for years to come!

If you still feel safe to the risk then think again because the time and cost of Pc Virus Removal can be a small fortune compared to the comparative small cost of proper virus protection especially if the virus is in your boot sector.

Do I Recommend The Google Assassin

Google Assassin and the underground techniques just launched and you would like to know if you should get your hands wet and get out and buy it and spend $ 67?

I give you a quick introduction to the membership and the most important parts of it.

The Google Assassin is mainly an affiliate learning membership with included tools to help you make money with affiliate marketing. It consists of three parts to help you succeed on your way to a million dollars….

The training material gives you some quick but informative lesson on how to use the tools included and how to set up your money making campaigns.

The four downloadable software programs that is included do most of the dirty work that is time consuming when doing your research, and you can effectively save a hours of work here.

Then there is the Affiliate Den, some like to call it the best affiliate membership ever, filled with the most useful products you would ever need.

If you read the sales letter you will find a video showing how Chris made almost $170000 in one day using this system, but don’t expect that you could do the same, it is not that easy, the system requires some work from your part, and it is not a “push the button” system that is fool proof.

You should also know that The Google Assassin is a membership and not an e-book like the two other products sold by Chris, so it has a monthly fee that you need to take into consideration when buying, but if you put the system to work and spend some hours getting it up and running you will guaranteed make money in the long run.

I have now been using the system since it came out, and can’t really conclude if I would stay as a member or drop off after the first month…

But I DO NOT regret buying my way in, and I already got a few campaigns going. And in reality I only need one or two products sold using this system to keep it free.

So if you are an affiliate marketing beginner, I would not hesitate to at least give it a chance, The Google Assassin is filled with all the products you need to put out profitable campaigns, so what are you waiting for? Put it to the test.

About Online Membership Sites

The following extract is from a series of online business articles on the benefits of membership sites ...

In other posts, I explain how internet business automation is not something you truly "experience" until you have reached the last stage of a specific business development sequence as shown below:

Reflection > Decision > Planning > Organising > SetuP > Systems Development > Online Business Automation.

In this article, we will discuss in more detail one of the most important resources you will need to consider investing into during the "Setup" phase ... membership sites. For the purpose of this article, we'll be specifically addressing the topic of joining one or more membership sites, not starting your own membership site.

There are several types of online membership sites which you can look at joining. There are free membership sites, and there are paid membership sites. There are sites that focus on delivering a particular kind of service (e.g. content on a specific niche area, like "self help") and there are "Mastermind" membership sites, where the main purpose is sharing information and ideas. There are exclusive, or limited membership sites that restrict their intake of new members once a certain level of membership numbers is reached, and there are membership sites that have no capping on the number of members that can join. We will be looking briefly at each of these types of membership sites.

Before we do this, however, an important question we need to address first is "why" are membership sites important to the process of automating an online business?

There are several reasons why you should really consider joining one or more membership sites during the "Setup" phase of your business development process. One of the main reasons, is that the virtual universe is expanding in all areas at such an outstanding rate, that if you are not connecting with other online business developers, you will quickly find that all of your ideas, knowledge, strategic planning, marketing plans, etc ... will have been rendered obsolete. Other businesses, networks of people and entrepreneurs that want to occupy your market space, will overtake you in every aspect and your business and all of your efforts at building it could thus be literally wiped out overnight.

Other reasons for joining membership sites are to increase your own technical, business, or marketing knowledge (e.g. by interacting with other members in a member's forum), to leverage and synergize your efforts (e.g. by forming joint venture partnerships), and to outsource some of the necessary "production" requirements of your business (e.g. Private Label Rights, membership sites that provide you with content for your business - articles, information products, software, etc...).

So now that we've established that you will need to join one or more membership sites in order to build and eventually automate your online business, what type of membership sites should you join?

Well, that depends on your business plan. You only have so much time to invest in networking with other online business owners, browsing forums to post questions and find answers, etc, so you will really need to think hard about the number of membership sites you decide to join, especially if most of these are paid membership sites. Since most paid membership sites charge their members on a monthly recurring basis, your membership costs can quickly add up.

The real answer to this question is found in your "Planning" stage. If you have decided to build content-driven sites, whether that's just one portal site on a specific topic, or many sites on a range of topics, you will probably need to initially join one or more good "Private Label Right" (PLR), membership sites. These types of sites pay for the cost of research and hiring content writers using a significant portion of member's fees, then co-op the created products among all paid members. For this reason, good PLR sites tend to cap their membership openings (normally between 150 - 500 members only).

Beware of membership sites that provide you with PLR or "resell rights" software. You really want to do your research before joining sites that offer software which you can resell as your own, because at some point in the future, you will have to deal with customer support issues. Find out who is responsible for providing technical support, software upgrades, handling customer service enquiries and complaints, etc. before you join a software resell membership site. Preferably, this person will not be you.

This brings up another concern regarding membership sites that provide proprietary software. If the cost of the membership is too low, you should not expect to receive good customer support or frequent software updates to improve software functionality or fix bugs and glitches (it's a guaranteed fact that there will always be a ton of those in any type of software application). In my experience, it's definitely better for a good paid membership site to charge a reasonable recurring fee, provided they deliver a quality product, excellent customer service and are attentive to the needs of their members. In fact, the best membership sites on the internet, are those that effectively treat their members as stakeholders of the business, and allow them to have a significant input in the future progress, development and direction of the membership site itself. After all, the members are ultimately the real target audience of the membership site.

Should You Start Using Private Label Software

It's staring at you from the store shelves. Yes, it is that software program that is pretty good but it is missing that special something that could make it even better. What a shame you are not in a position to improve upon it. Wait a minute, you are in that position.

When people hear about business opportunities associated with private label rights, they often assume that this is exclusively a business that revolves around rewriting ebooks. Now, while ebooks definitely comprise a significant volume of the market share of private label rights, they are not one hundred percent of the market. In fact, a significant volume of the market is comprises of opportunities to sell software with private label rights and this venture often has the potential to be more financially lucrative than most ebook ventures could ever hope to dream of! There are a number of factors for this and these factors will be spotlighted as a way of providing a little guiding light on this subject.

The purpose of software with private rights is that the person who enters into a business agreement with the distributor of the software can re-brand and rewrite the software so as to make it uniquely their own. This way one could tweak the software to appeal to different personal or business needs that might exist in the marketplace. If an individual who hits upon a new and innovative idea and exports this idea in the form of software with private label rights, then the ability to have an explosive seller on the market is highly possible. This can be significantly more lucrative than an ebook private label rights venture.

While some people are not all that interested in reading, virtually everyone has a need for one software program or another. As such, the market demand for software will always be more than the demand for ebooks. Additionally, an innovative software program that expands upon what previously existed in the marketplace is almost always in demand.

Software with private label rights is a tremendous marketing opportunity for those who have a talent in software programming. There will always be a demand for expansive and innovative software in the world market so why not take advantage of that demand and take advantage of the private label rights opportunities that are out there.

Tips For Reducing Credit Card Debt - Consider A Consolidation Loan

The most alarming financial problem for families and individuals today is credit card debt. If you are one of the thousands of people who need relief from this overbearing situation, consider a credit consolidation loan. It is a means by which you can simplify your repayment process, as well as put an end to your poor spending habits. A credit card consolidation loan offers benefits that will help you get back on your financial track again.

While most people have some form of debt, it may be surprising to learn that the average family in the United States has over $7,000 in credit card debt. This debt carries several negative implications.

Many, when faced with growing debt, resort to a credit card consolidation loan and more credit cards as a way to pay the debt off. This only increases the financial burden in the end and can result in bad credit when the individual is unable to make payments because the debt has become too great. In addition, penalties and late fees for late payment can accumulate with alarming speed, leaving the debtor even worse off than before. Rather than taking out loans or getting another credit card, those in financial crisis should consider a consolidation loan. It is a real solution that may leave one better off than before.

Be aware that a credit card consolidation loan is not a magic little pill that will make your debt or bad credit history disappear. Rather, it will help you reduce your overall monthly debt, save on high interest fees, and encourage you to develop a monthly budget. You will also notice that your credit score will improve, as credit agencies notice your new ability to pay your bills in a timely fashion. Expect those annoying calls from collection agencies to stop.

So, how much will you likely have to pay each month? Once you have decided to pursue a credit consolidation loan, your monthly repayment will be calculated based on the lowest payment amount that your creditors will accept. At this point, all you have to do is make the payments to your consolidating company, and the company will be responsible for distributing your money to your creditors.

Financial responsibility is the key to remaining out of debt, once an individual has recovered with a credit consolidation loan. The urge to use plastic to make purchases will be great, but remember, the risk of unmanageable debt far outweighs the meager benefit of immediate gratification. Bad credit can have serious consequences and laboring under a mountain of debt is no way to live at all. Being financially responsible is the best way to live, and live well.

Make Money With Private Label Rights

If you have ever read an ebook you may have been taken aback by the quality of the book. In fact, the quality of the book may have inspired you to make an income with private label rights by looking into what solid ebooks would be available for such a venture. After all, the potential income from a private label rights venture can be downright significant.

If there was one solid piece of advice that could be offered on the issue of how to make money on private label rights it is critical to stress that anyone who believes that they will make money with little effort or that they will amass riches overnight will be sorely disappointed. While, yes, there will be PLR opportunity advertisements floating around that due stress such unrealistic expectations, but clear minded individuals will dismiss them and center on more realistic programs. Again, the key to earning a solid income from private label rights will derive from a common sense approach.

So, when it does come to the question as to how to make money on private label rights what is the key to success? The answer is a clear understanding of what this venture actually is, devising a course of action, implementing a course of action and doing so with consistency and employing this consistency over enough of a period of time that results can realistically be achieved. Now, this certainly is not a bombastic way to make money on PLR, but it is an effective one that the serious minded can take advantage of.

Ten Ways to Boost Your Web Traffic

Boosting your web traffic is very important if you want your web site to grow and get noticed by the audience you are targeting. Let's go over some ways that you can give your business a boost.

1.  Submitting press releases - an excellent way to get traffic and people to look at your web site. There are paid and free press releases for you to choose from. Both have their advantages. If you are on a limited budget than go the free route. If you want quick traffic and responses than a paid press release is probably the best way to go.

2.  Contests are a way to drive traffic to your site. Everyone loves winning things and a contest is a way to get them to come to your web site and actually capture their email address which is an important way to get more traffic to your sites.

3.  Email signatures.  An email signature is a signature that is usually after your name in the body of an email. Most people will put a URL or a nice short link that will take them to a website. People tend to overlook these and the power that these really generate. Use them and an increase in traffic will follow.

4.  write an e-book and give it away. Why write an e-book? Because an e-book can be embedded with links to your sites. This means that everyone who downloads a free e-book will see your links and click on them. Imagine you give away 10,000 e-books you will have your links in ten thousand hands that actually will probably read the book and click on some of the links. It's a win-win situation for you.

5.  Trading articles with other web sites and blogs is another good way to bring traffic to your site. As people read these articles they will come back for more and you will have a loyal reader. Thus articles are a great way to keep people coming back and boosting traffic to your site.

6. Off-line promotion is something that more people are doing more than ever before. There was a time when people never did off-line advertising, because they didn't think it would work. They are finding out that off-line promotion is something they should consider before saying no to it.

7.  Exchanging links is another real quick boost to your website traffic. People don't realize that links can hurt you or help you. Getting good link exchange partners is crucial. Bad link exchange actually hurts you so you will have to make sure that the links you get are what you really want. For information about power linking.

8.  Search engine marketing is probably the one thing that more and more people are really working on harder. Search engines drive the most traffic to your sites so getting the best rankings or positions are crucial. Search engine marketing can either be done by you (if you understand it) or a company that specializes in it. Their are many good ones around so do your research.

9.  Posting on forums is an incredible way to get traffic.  Forums can get you links and get people talking about your web site probably quicker than anything. Imagine this:  If you post to ten forums a day with 10 posts with your URL as your signature your going to have tons of links out their and people are looking at them everyday. Forums will get you traffic and that's what will drive more sales for you and get you better search engine rankings. You would be surprised on how many forum threads our listed in search engines.

10. Commenting on related blogs. The blogasphere is tremendous and there's not a subject you can think of that hasn't been blogged about. One good way to get traffic to your site is to visit blogs related to your niche, read a few blogs and make relevant comments. People will click on the links and you will get welcomed traffic from people who are interested in your niche. Vist my webmaster's blog here.

Using Online Internet Forums

Email marketing used to be the best way to market your business or product online, but the popularity of Online Internet forums has managed to change that and open up a whole knew marketing opportunity for businesses. Forums, which are open discussion spaces online, make it possible for people from all over the world to share information and opinions on any topic under the sun. These have become increasingly popular among businesses with some of the worlds biggest corporations using forums to help promote their products by allowing their customers to leave feedback and discuss their feelings on them openly.

With some forums allowing links and even enabling the addition of live links, a business is able to draw all kinds of visitors to their site and product as a result of this. Along with the use of links, starting user based forums is another great way to publicize your product or service. This allows users of your product to leave feedback about your product and their experiences which will act as some extra free publicity for you. Another key to marketing yourself is to always leave your profile or signature on any forum you use. By posting your contact details, you will draw more visitors to your site and help to increase the size of your audience. Another benefit of leaving links to your site is that the more links you have out there, the higher your search engine ranking.

When it comes to forums; open discussion is encouraged, but there are some restrictions as to what can be posted. The restrictions often include: SPAM, the use of profanity or any obscene or inappropriate content or attachments. Anyone caught abusing the forum will not be allowed to participate. This helps to keep the forum clean and positive which of course is a must in order to keep the reputation of you and your business intact. And since this is all about using forums to help gain you exposure, publicity and positive feedback; abiding by a few rules should be no problem.

Internet Advertising - Research Made Easy

Having a business online requires a solid advertising campaign in order to succeed. While any type of business will benefit from advertising; doing so on the internet requires a different approach than what would be used for print ads or television commercials. This is not to say that it is a complex process or anything—just different. Exposure is the name of the game when it comes to advertising on the internet, especially seeing as how there are millions of other businesses out there that are marketing themselves as well. You need to get a step up above the rest and try different avenues to see which one is best suited to you.

In terms of online advertising, “pay-per-click” programs seem to be the most popular as well as the simplest option. Programs like Google AdWords allow you to get started quickly and easily so that you can start benefiting right away. These ads which can be found along the right side of the Google search page offer an astounding amount of exposure with very little effort on your part. One option that can be quite effective, involve no expense and is often overlooked is ezine advertising. This entails writing an article about your business subject or something related to it. For example, if your business is candy sales, write an article about holiday candy gifts. At the close of the article you need to include a little blurb about yourself that is no more than about 25 words. This should include your name, business and a link to your site so that your readers know where to find you.

Once you have completed your masterpiece, the next step is to find a quality ezine that is suitable for your article. Contact the ezines owner and offer your article in exchange for a byline and link. You could also offer it for inclusion in a newsletter if available as another great way to get exposure. Readers who enjoy your article will have the opportunity to click on the link to your site which means increased traffic and likely sales as well. In keeping on the topic of newsletters; sponsoring ads in newsletters is another possibility. Though there is a minimal cost involved in sponsored ads; the amount of exposure you can gain is well worth it. It won’t take long for you to fine tune your skills and learn what works for your business and what doesn’t.

Do You Need Whole Life Insurance?

Do baby boomers need life insurance? Unless you are quite rich, anyone who owns some property, is married or has kids should seriously consider purchasing life insurance. Life insurance is there to protect your family and loved ones in case something, specifically death, should happen unexpectedly in your life. In fact, it might be better called death insurance, but that is too morbid, so folks would probably not buy it.

The question you need to ask yourself when choosong anything about life insurance is what type of life insurance should I get? What types of life insurance are available to me (and my "me", I men a person who is relatively healthy, with no know diseases such as cancer or bad habits, although smokers and drinker can get insurance, it just costs them more)? You can start out with [spin[simple term life|term life[/spin] insurance, which is the lowest cost &#xTO;KEN2% you can get. It basically covers you for the set amount on the policy, should you die (there are some exclusions about the type of death, mainly you cannot buy a and then commit suicide and demand your beneficiary to be paid).

Term life Insurance is what I call simple death insurance. It covers you when you die. AFter that, there are a multitude of other life policies, know as universal life, group life, whole life, and such. The concept is to pay more in premiums (usually 10 time more or higher), and buy what is referred to as a deferred annuity. This means you are building money up in an account that "theoretically" can be used as part of your retirement money, should you now die unexpectedly along the way. For those of you who are horrible savers, and think social security will be round when you get old, and cover all your expenses, then this is a great choice for you, because when you retire, there will be some money there for you to live on besides social security.

The problem I see with these whole life policies is that they cost a lot of money, for a lower, non-guaranteed return on investment. Generally, one can take the same amount of money, invest in the stock market or mutual funds and do much better. But doing that means you have no &#xTO;KEN3%, unless you also buy a term policy.

Become A Mystery Shopper And Get Paid To Shop

Do you love to shop? Do you feel a sudden rush of adrenaline when a friend invites you to go on a shopping excursion? Are you someone who pays careful attention to the level of customer service that retailers provide their valued customers?

Then ask yourself this … what if you could earn /hour or more by simply shopping at your favorite shopping malls - and then get to keep many of the things you’ve just bought or consumed for free?

There is a legitimate way to earn a decent living simply by shopping at your favorite stores and restaurants … become a professional Mystery Shopper!

While many people have doubts about the idea of “mystery shopping” and “getting paid to shop” and find the concept of being a ’secret shopper’ to be just too good to be true (and many times it is), consider the following argument from a business point of view:

Businesses are becoming increasingly more aware of the importance of customer opinions for their long-term success. In fact, there are now many businesses and organizations that have been created to provide their business clients not only with market research information about customer preferences and product choices, but real feedback on the way their client’s employees respond to customer requests by consumers. These agencies require trained researchers to visit shops, stores, offices and anywhere that their clients’ staff come into contact with their customers, then observe and report back their findings. The need for these “secret” evaluation services (i.e. spying on a business to see how customers are really being treated) has even been extended now to corporate web sites, where much of a company’s business is conducted over the internet.

Businesses want to know how their customers view their business and more of them are now hiring marketing companies to recruit, train and send out mystery shoppers to evaluate their employees secretly. The information reported back is invaluable to these companies, as it can be used to identify problem areas in the business, or on a more positive note, to reward and acknowledge exemplary employees by giving them the recognition they deserve.

In the United States alone, companies are spending over $1.5 billion dollars each year on mystery shopping and using this information to better understand their customers and refine their businesses. Mystery shopping has been around since the 1960’s and today is a very legitimate and necessary part of doing business. Business owners and management need to know how to improve their businesses and better serve their customers. The very best way for businesses to discover exactly what they need to do to improve their customer service is to contract mystery shoppers to tell them exactly what the average customer experiences when shopping at their store.

As a mystery shopper, sometimes you will be required to make a purchase, while other times you may simply be required to evaluate a particular service or the information provided by employees to prospective buyers. You don’t get to keep everything you shop for for free, however. For example, if you are assigned to visit an auto dealer, don’t expect to drive away with a free car, but you will be paid for the time you spent asking questions about the vehicles, financing options, deals for trade-ins, etc., then preparing a detailed report about your experience as a potential customer of that store.

Hopefully now that you understand that mystery shopping is a $1.5 billion dollar business and growing, you can see how it is possible to make up to $40 an hour or more as a professional mystery shopper, getting paid to eat at your favorite restaurants, shop at your local mall and retail store, watch a movie at your local cinema, or hundreds of other exciting mystery shopping assignments … plus get to keep many of the things you bought for free!

Who Employs Mystery Shoppers?

Most people think of fashion retail stores or restaurants when thinking about mystery shopping, but in reality, just about any business that sells products or services to the general public may require the information that mystery shoppers can provide them with.

Some examples of companies and businesses that currently employ the services of mystery shoppers include ...

Promote Your Blog With Social Bookmarking

Do you know what the main purpose of a social bookmarking website is? If you are an avid internet user, you likely do. Social networking websites are online communities that make it easier for internet users to meet and communicate with each other. If you are an internet user who enjoys using the internet to meet new people, there is a good chance that you already belong to a social networking website. What about an online blog? Do you have one of them? If you do, do you know that you could use your social networking website to promote your blog?

Promote your blog? Why would you want to do that? Honestly, if you have to ask yourself that question you probably shouldn’t even have one. The whole purpose of a blog is to document your thoughts, views, and opinions on a particular topic, issue, or subject. What good will your blog do if no one reads it. In addition to sharing your thoughts with the rest of the world, did you know that you could also make money from your blog? You can signup for affiliate programs or other programs like Google Adsense. If you are using your blog to make money then you will defiantly want to promote it.

When it comes to promoting blogs, there are many blog owners who decide to let the search engine do the work for them. Search engines, such as Google, Yahoo, and MSN use special techniques that reads the content on your website. That content is then used to rank your website with particular keywords. This means that you run a blog on graduating from high school in New York, there is a good chance that your blog will appear in searches done on New York high schools. Although many blogs are successfully ranked in search engines, not all are. That is why you are advised against relying solely on search engines and to use Web 2 Bookmarking sites.

As previously mentioned, if you love meeting with or talking to people online, there is a good chance that you belong to a social networking website or community. The individuals that you talk to and that are in your community are likely the individuals that you wish to target. Since most social networking websites work to connect internet users who have the same goals and common interests, there is a good chance that your online friends will enjoy reading your blog. But, before they can read your blog, you have to let them know that it exists.

When it comes to promoting your blog with social bookmarks, you have a number of different options. Your first option is to include a link to your blog in your community profile or profile page. This will allow other community members to checkout your blog, only if they wish to do so. The other way is to inform your online friends of your blog through private messages. Once you join a social networking website and create or join a network of friends, you should easily be able to communicate with those friends. Sending each of your friends a private message with information and a link to your blog tends to be more effective than just placing a link in your profile or on your profile page.

Although there is a good chance that you are already a member of a popular social networking website, you may not be. If you are not already a member, but would like to become one, you will need to find a social networking website to join. This can easily be done with a standard internet search. In your search, you will likely find a number of popular network sites, such as MySpace, Facebook, FriendFinder, Yahoo! 360, and Orkut. Before becoming a community member at one of these networking sites, you may want to first examine the website to ensure that it is everything that you want it to be.

As you can easily see, there are a number of different ways that you can go about promoting your blog on online social networking websites. You never known, but, in addition to promoting your blog, you may also make new friends along the way.
