Arson Control Forum -
Implementation Fund
The aim of the Arson Control
Forum is to reduce by 10% the number of deliberate fires by 31st March 2010
from the 2001/02 baseline. The Forum's Implementation Fund initiative is a key
programme of work designed to support the arson reduction target. Implementation
Fund resources will predominately be targeted at those areas with the highest
arson rates; those areas which currently have no type of arson reduction project,
will also be seen as a high priority to receive funding....more

Basic Command Unit Fund
This annual fund is designed
to help police meet the individual crime reduction needs of their local area
and tackle the priorities set out in the national policing plan - which includes
combating gun crime. The fund can be spent on crime prevention work such as
targeted police operations, youth diversionary schemes, or security advice campaigns

Fund to assist Small Retailers in deprived areas
This Capital Modernisation
Fund project aims to assist retail businesses in the 10% most deprived areas
of England (as set out in the DTLR Indices of Multiple Deprivation) that are
closing because shopkeepers cannot afford proper security. This deprives local
residents, especially those who are unable to travel, of access to a decent

behaviour, care for the physical appearance and management of the neighbourhood

Recovered Assets Fund
This is a Home Office grant
which uses the recovered assets of criminals to fund proactive projects linked
to the key objectives of the drugs White Paper "Tackling Drugs to Build
a Better Britain" or those of complementary strategies in Wales, Northern
Ireland and Scotland; provide seed funding for innovative law-enforcement initiatives;
provide seed funding for community regeneration projects and local crime reduction
